FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Home Automation?
Home Automation means connecting various electrical, electronic, and smart devices in your home (lights, fans, curtains, AC, locks, sensors, etc.) through a central controller/hub — so you can control, monitor or automate them via smartphone, tablet, app, or voice.
You can set scheduled routines (e.g. lights turn on at sunset), sensor-based triggers (e.g. motion triggers hallway lights), or manual control — offering both active control and automated convenience.
What all can you automate in a home?
Modern home automation can cover almost everything that’s electric or electronic:
- Lighting (on/off, dimming, scenes, moods)
- Fans / climate control / AC / HVAC
- Curtains/blinds & motorized shading
- Security: door/window sensors, motion sensors, smart locks, alarms, CCTV integration
- Audio / Video / Multimedia systems — multi-room audio, home-theatre automation, smart TV & streaming control
- Energy-efficiency & automation logic: automatic shutdown when no one’s home, sensor-based control, scheduled events
Remote & smart control: via mobile apps, voice assistants, centralized hubs — from inside home or remotely.
Why should I automate my home?
- Automation transforms your home into a “living space” — not just a building. It makes your home responsive, adaptive and intuitive.
- You get convenience + control + safety — remote control, scheduled routines, automated security, energy savings.
- Comparable to how modern cars or smartphones are sensor- and automation-driven — your home deserves similar intelligence.
- Professional automation is future-ready and scalable — you can start small and expand later based on lifestyle or property size.
Do we manufacture these devices or resell third-party products?
We do not manufacture devices. Like many smart home integrators, we source devices from reputed international vendors, test them for quality, and then integrate them into a complete home automation solution delivered to you. This ensures you get best-of-breed components + professional installation + long-term support.
Will automation work if the internet goes down?
Yes — that is by design. Many automation functions (especially those based on protocols like Zigbee / Z-Wave / RF) work on local networks, independent of internet.
You may lose remote control or cloud-based features when the internet is down — but essential controls (switches, sensors, smart-lock, manual override) will continue working.
Do I need a smartphone to run automation?
A smartphone makes the experience smoother — for app-based controls and remote access — but many automation systems remain functional even without one.
For basic control, manual switches and physical interfaces remain valid (and often still work as fallback).
Can automation be installed in existing houses, or only new builds?
Automation — especially wireless systems — can be installed in both new and existing homes. Wireless protocols avoid major rewiring or civil work, making retrofit possible.
If I start small, can I expand later?
Absolutely. Automation systems are modular by design. You can begin with lighting or basic automation and later add security, AC, multimedia, or advanced scenes without overhauling the system.
This ensures flexibility and scalability according to your evolving needs or budget.
Are smart home devices and automation difficult to operate?
Not at all. We work only with intuitive, user-friendly devices from reputed brands. Operation is typically via smartphone app, voice commands or simple switches. From day-one, the system is configured for ease-of-use.
For people who prefer manual control, traditional switch functionality remains alongside smart controls.
What happens if a device fails or there’s an integration issue?
If a device has manufacturing defects, it is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty we pass on to you.
If the issue is integration-related (e.g. automation logic, compatibility), our team takes responsibility: we reconfigure, troubleshoot, or replace when needed — to ensure your system works as intended.
